Cambodia Eyeglasses Team

2/7/2014

A United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) team is in Cambodia until the 28th. This team joins with a local Methodist church in Svay Reing to hold an eye glasses distribution project. This project is the gift to the local community for those most in need. Professional training to all team members was provided by Optometrist Joanne Van Bezey, O.D., who will also be on the team. The team is being led by Phil Bandy, California-Nevada Conference UMVIM director and veteran leader of multiple international volunteer teams.  The team will conduct the vision tests and fit patients as required with reading glasses, sun glasses and prescription glasses.
