Hispanic-Latino Ministries and Congregational Vitality Gather at Visalia UMC

The Hispanic-Latino Ministries of the California-Nevada Annual Conference and Congregational Vitality gathered at Visalia UMC on Saturday, March 8, to strengthen, support, and resource local churches and ministries. The event involved the participation of 12 churches: Vida Nueva Porterville, Pastor Marcelo Escarzaga; Visalia UMC, Pastor Corazón Moran; Watsonville First UMC, Pastor Robin Matthews Johnson; La Trinidad UMC San Jose; Trinity UMC Bakersfield, Pastor Gabriela Perla; Wasco UMC, Pastor Alexis Cambe and Pastor Gabriela Perla; Hollister UMC, Pastor Martha Milk; Greenfield UMC, Soledad UMC, East Salinas Family Center, Pastor Ines Lugo; Salem UMC, Pastor Aura Lila Ochoa; and, Emanuel UMC, Pastor Jola Botner. Each church brought lay leaders for a total of 49 lay leaders and 24 children. The Central Valley District Superintendent, the Rev. Mariellen Yoshino, Conference Superintendent for Congregational Vitality, the Rev. Dr. Bener Agtarap, and Global Ministries (GBGM) Missionary, the Rev. Brenda Vaca led the event.
