Shame-Less Lives, Grace-full Congregations
The Rev. Karen McCllintock has a new book "Shame-Less Lives, Grace-full Congregations" designed to shed light on the ways that Christian theology has contributed to shame, and the creation of shame bound people, including clergy. Congregations with old secrets and with perfectionistic expectations can become bound up in shame as well. She will be teaching the content of the book at Pacific School of Religion (PSR) during the summer session August 5 to 9 from 1:30-5:30 p.m. The course is open to seminarians and as continuing education for clergy.
