8th Day Project
The 8th Day Project is Pacific School of Religion's comprehensive effort to re-think theological education for a new day and a new world. Throughout 2012 and 2013, the PSR Commission on Strategic Direction (CSD), composed of trustees, faculty, staff, alumni/ae, and students, has led the entire community toward a new vision for educating and equipping leaders who are compelled by their faith to bring a new creation into being.
You can follow the progress of the work at http://futuresofpsr.wordpress.com/. This blogspace facilitates communication between the CSD and the broader PSR community: its faculty, alumni, current students, and members of the Board of Trustees. They welcome you to leave comments and questions on any part of this blog, and to take part in this process of envisioning the future of the Pacific School of Religion. The Commission can also be reached by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
This site will feature exciting (and challenging) ideas, provocative questions, and prospective scenarios. However, it in no way sets forth concrete plans for how PSR will be implementing change in the years to come. That plan will be announced by the Board of Trustees, upon advisement of the CSD, in April of 2013. This website is one opportunity to get involved, and help the CSD forge a collective vision for PSR in the future.
