Annual Statistics Gathering is Under Way

January 10, 2013

Conference Statistician

The annual process of gathering church statistics across the denomination started this month!
As in years past, all churches are required to provide information about their membership — congregation activities, income, and expenditures — all of which is published in the conference journal later in the year. This information becomes an amazing historical record of our local churches which stretches back many years.
In late December, all churches should have received a letter with information explaining the process as well as your church's access information for the online reporting system, EZRA.
New this year
There is a new section on the conference web site, Statistician's Corner (or use the friendly URL which contains everything churches needs to complete their returns, including:
  • A Guide to Statistics 2012
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Useful Forms
  • Help Videos (showing how to use EZRA)
In addition, we will also be holding a series of webinars in January and February. Plan to join the live web meetings to see the data entry mechanism in use and to get answers to your questions about the reporting process. The first webinars are scheduled next week, Wednesday, January 16, at 12 p.m. (noon) and 7 p.m.
There's no need to register in advance — just check out the webinar page in the statistics web section for access details.
