Cal-Nevada Launches 'Vital Signs and Wonders' Blog

January 10, 2013

The Rev. Dr. Bener Agtarap, Conference Superintendent of Congregational Vitality, has launched a new blog Vital Signs and Wonders (VSW) — an online forum for church leaders and members of new and vital churches to connect with one another through conversations and peer-learning around the topic of church planting and multiplication.

"I have been thinking about doing this project for a long time but have always found good excuses to delay it," writes Agtarap. "However, this past December, I was able to participate as an observer in the United Methodist Church session in the Philippines. Through my observations, I was more determined than ever to start this blog."
The Vital Signs and Wonders blog will provide stories and articles around six specific themes related to new and vital congregations: Worship Attendance, Professions of Faith, Small Group Participation, Mission Outreach, Connectional Accountability, and Stewardship and Giving.
"Through this forum and blog posts we will give expression to these emerging signs of vitality among us," writes the Rev. Blake Busick, VSW project coordinator and pastor of First United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa, in his blog post on January 3, 2013. "Your comments and contributions will expand our celebration of the work on the Holy Spirit in our midst. In this way, we will learn from one another and explore resources and best practices."
