In January, Anne Dilenschneider will be offering an advanced, practicum course for those who have taken the basic Transformational Leadership (TL) course – either the 12-hour version or the 30-hour version.
(The basic material also was covered in CLayM training, making CLayM pastors eligible for the advanced course, and they are encouraged to participate.)
The advanced course will be offered Tuesday, Jan. 22, 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 23, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nevada City United Methodist Church, 433 Broad St., Nevada City, CA 95959.
Dilenschneider asks participants to be prepared to share current situations they would like to be thought through in a collaborative way, using the principles of transformational leadership.
The cost of the course is $40.
Currently, Anne Dilenschneider is completing 18 months as an interim United Methodist Church pastor in Fargo, North Dakota, in the Dakotas Conference. In that role, she used TL principles to help a congregation successfully move out of its deteriorating building and into shared space with another UMC as a separate congregation. In January 2013, she will join the staff of Sioux Falls Psychological Services in South Dakota, and will begin teaching psychology, spirituality, and leadership at Sioux Falls Seminary. Dilenschneider also is involved in a 10-year relational restorative justice program with the Rosebud Sicangu Lakota, the North American Institute for Indigenous Theological Studies, and Sioux Falls Seminary.
