Cook Native American Ministries Schedules Winter Workshops for January

Cook Native American Ministries (CNAM) has scheduled Winter Workshops, Jan. 13-17, 2013 at the Fiesta Resort and Conference Center in Tempe, Arizona. The workshops are designed to equip new, emerging leaders (Native and non-Native, clergy and laity) while offering restorative, relevant training for those already in leadership.

Two intensive courses will be offered:
Track A: Faith-based Organizing for Emerging and Community Leaders
Students will leave this hands-on session fully informed and fully equipped with a grassroots action plan.
Track B: Nourishing Body and Soul: Self Care and Spiritual Discipline, Making and Modeling "Holy" Choices
Christian educators in the fields of health, nutrition, emotional well-being, and spiritual disciplines will lead this session to enhance awareness and provide practical, positive alternatives.
Evening Electives:
  • How to Run a Meeting Using Roberts Rules of Orders
  • How to Apply for CNAM Grants

Registration Fees (two options):
  • $300 includes lodging (double occupancy), meals, courses, and materials
  • $150 includes meals, courses, and materials (for local based applicants)
