Basic 1 & 2
In this two-part course, developed for first time participants, you will discover ways to discern God's call in your life and explore your spiritual gifts while learning about the Book of Discipline, about "servant leadership," and more. The class will be taught by the Rev. Dale Weatherspoon.
Local church lay speakers are required to complete a refresher course every three years in order to continue as a local lay servant. The class will be taught by Dee Anne Paron.

Small Group Ministries
This two-part course is designed to help individuals prepare to lead those who are interested in study, personal growth, and action.
United Methodist 101
This two-part course is designed to assist the Lay Servant in gaining an understanding of the distinctive traditions and emphases of the United Methodist Church.

Participants are guided into discerning God's direction in their lives by practicing daily disciplines and reaching out in love.
Lay Servants Discern Spiritual Gifts
This course focuses on acquiring a better understanding of the church and its ministry needs and what it means to be a minister.
