Cal-Nev UMW Sends Seven to Duke for Young Women's Event

The California-Nevada Annual Conference United Methodist Women (UMW) has announced the selection of seven young women to attend an event for young women, LIMITLESS: Redefine Tomorrow, at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, Aug. 2-5, 2012.

The young women selected to attend are:
The Rev. Susan Foster, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Hanford
YOUNG ADULTS (18-30 years old):
Piper Riley, Concord United Methodist Church
Kateri Ransom, First United Methodist Church of Modesto
TEEN MEMBERS (14-17 years old):
Danelle Cole, First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa
Madison Reid, First United Methodist Church of Carson City
Hope Crockett, First United Methodist Church of Palo Alto
Victoria Baskett, Concord United Methodist Church
The purpose of the event is to equip young women of faith to transcend barriers and to do justice in their communities by putting faith, hope, and love into action. 
Each attendee has made a two-year commitment to work with the Cal-Nev UMW to create young women's events in the Annual Conference.
