On Sunday, July 8 at noon, soprano Menorah Winston will sing a short concert in memory of the late Rev. Archer Summers. The memorial concert will take place in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Palo Alto, on the corner of Hamilton and Webster in downtown Palo Alto. Family, friends and admirers of the late Rev. Summers, especially, are invited to attend.
The recital will be drawn from a classical and operatic repertoire and from Broadway, and will include Jewish favorites. Winston will be accompanied by Sarah Wannamaker at the piano.
Cantor Menorah Winston is a gifted, dynamic performer who brings to her music a rare blend of musicianship and dedication, backed by a distinguished career.
Her musical training began in Romania and continued in Israel, at the Rubin Academy of Music, and at the Manhattan School of Music in the United States. She has earned three Master's degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, in Vocal Performance, Sacred Music, and Music Education.
Menorah Winston has served as a Cantor since her investiture in 1994.
