May 31, 2012

First United Methodist Church of Sacramento will host the youth choir of First United Methodist Church in Newnan, Georgia – in a fundraiser for Imagine No Malaria, Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 7 p.m.

The program is titled, "Jesus Around the World," and consists of anthems and readings.
Young people in grades 7-12 make up the 67-member choir. Under the leadership of David Kinrade, minister of music/organist, the choir sings regularly for worship services and special events, and works throughout the year on a program that is taken on tour in the early summer.
The choir has toured throughout the East, New England, Florida, the Midwest, Texas, Colorado, California, the Great Northwest, Canada, and Mexico. This year's tour will bring the choir back to California, to present a program at First UMC of Sacramento.
There is no admission fee – however, monetary donations are encouraged and will be gratefully accepted, as all contributions will go to "Imagine No Malaria," the United Methodist campaign to eliminate malaria deaths in Africa by the year 2015.
First UMC is located at 2100 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.
