June 1 Is Deadline to Register for 'Leading Beyond the Walls' Workshop in Loomis

May 31, 2012

Late registrations will be accepted provisionally.

The registration deadline is tomorrow – Friday, June 1 – for the Leading Beyond the Walls workshop, June 8-9 in Loomis. However, late registrations are being accepted under certain conditions.

For those who register on line at http://www.cnumc.org/register by noon on Monday, June 4, workshop organizers still will be able to provide lunch, and probably Friday night accommodations for those who are traveling a distance.

After June 4 at noon, while you will be welcome to attend the workshop, you will need to provide your own lunch and lodging. That provision applies to walk-ins on the day of the event, as well. The (subsidized) registration fee remains at $35.

Leading Beyond the Walls is being hosted by the Great Northern District and (Foothills) "Circuit on the Rise," and will be led by Jason Gant, the director of Student Ministries at Church of the Resurrection (including its "Vibe" worship service) – and Dan Entwistle, managing executive director of the Leawood, Kansas, church, who since 1992 has helped create something where little existed before.

The workshop is designed to detail hands-on practices and to build enthusiasm for the work of growing in vitality. Churches are encouraged to send a team to attend – preferably including the pastor and at least two lay people.

For clergy, approval is pending for one CEU in Disciple Making or Professional Competency.

The Friday, June 8 session of Leading Beyond the Walls will run 6:30-9 p.m. The Saturday, June 9 session will run 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Register today at http://www.cnumc.org/register.
