The Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry is hosting an art show at this year's Annual Conference Session, titled, "Voices of Student Debt." To be located in the Displays area upstairs, the show will create a sacred space featuring the stories and images that give voice to the student debt crisis.
Art pieces – poetry, prose, photography, posters, painting, or 2D visual art – are being solicited now. An electronic image of each submission is due by June 5, along with a brief description of why it should be included in the show.
Pieces will be displayed on walls created like shoji screens, with newspapers, headlines, and political cartoons about student debt incorporated in the display, which will contain interactive elements, as well.
A reception for the artists is being planned.
