Be a Voice - Be a Young Adult Delegate to ACS

April 19, 2012

Are you over the age of 18 but younger than 35? Are you a committed and active Christian interested in learning more about the workings of The United Methodist Church? And are you willing to be a voice for young people's concerns in our Annual Conference and in our Church? If yes, apply now to be a Young Adult Delegate to Annual Conference Session (June 20-23).

Each district gets two (2) voting Young Adult Delegates and one (1) alternate delegate. Voting Young Adult Delegates are seated within the bar of the conference and are able to vote and have the privilege of voice on all matters before the Annual Conference Session except clergy business.

To be considered as a voting Young Adult Delegate, you MUST be a member of your local church and complete the online application by June 1. Applications received after June 1 will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis – however, ALL applications will be accepted for participation at Annual Conference.

If you are selected for the Young Adult Delegation, the cost of ACS – such as lodging and meals – is your responsibility. However, a small stipend, which is provided by the Conference, is available for voting members.

Apply now and be a voice for young people's concerns!

Apply online at www.cnumc.org: Click on the "Registrations" tab on the main navigation bar or click on "Annual Conference Session," located under "Quick Links" in the right side menu, and select "Youth Delegation Application."
