The California-Nevada Annual Conference Board of Ordained Ministry is sponsoring an "Equipping for Ministry" workshop, June 14-15 at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 6201 Spruce Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95814.
The "Equipping for Ministry" workshop is for all clergy within the Conference – but especially those who are working toward Commissioning/Ordination/Licensing, since it is a requirement for candidates in the ordination or licensing process.
Designed for persons in their first years of ministry or for those who are newly returning after an extended absence from the local church, "Equipping for Ministry" will help participants identify their God-given leadership styles and identify strengths and growing edges inherent in these styles. Participants also will explore practical case studies related to sensitive personnel issues in the local church. And finally, participants will explore their own intercultural competency and discover the many ways that intercultural competency is essential to the practice of ministry.
There is NO FEE for Residents in Ministry candidates or for district candidates in the ordination process. For registrants who are not RIM or district candidates, pricing is available with accommodations ($125) and without accommodations ($40). The fee includes meals and materials.
Childcare is available, upon request (request must be made by June 5).
