Bishop's Award Guidelines Posted

March 01, 2012

Guidelines for nominating individuals for a 2012 Bishop's Award have been posted to the Conference website (cnumc.org) in two places: on the 2012 Annual Conference Session page, and in the Bishop's Articles section.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 30, 2012.

The highly coveted award is given annually at ACS, to laity who have demonstrated outstanding service, both within and beyond the local church.

In his letter setting forth the guidelines, Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr. says nominations should include "A short narrative on how the person is living as a disciple engaged in transforming the world, and those qualities that bring the nominee forth as a leader among us."

Nominations and selections are to be kept secret until award recipients are announced at Annual Conference Session.
