SSP Offers Four Winter 'Weekend of Service' Project Opportunities

December 15, 2011

Sierra Service Project (SSP) is offering four "Weekend of Service" projects to churches throughout northern California this winter. Like the summer projects, the weekend sessions combine Christian fellowship with challenging renovation service opportunities to provide an intense, fun, and unforgettable experience for youth and young adults from all denominations.

The Sacramento Weekend of Service projects run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon – making them ideal for youth groups seeking to fulfill their passion for service-based ministry during the school year. SSP partners with various local organizations to provide much-needed renovations in and around the historic Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento. These projects include using the many repair skills in which SSP is highly experienced, including carpentry, flooring, wall repair, and painting.

This project is very affordable at only $95 per participant, which includes all lodging, meals, materials, and a T-shirt. Dates for the Sacramento projects are Jan. 13-15, Jan. 27-29, Feb. 10-12, and Feb. 17-19, 2012.
