Observe United Methodist Student Day on Nov. 27

November 16, 2011

United Methodist Student Day is just days away. However, you still have time to order free resources – and to download others – to promote this Nov. 27 offering.

Your gifts on United Methodist Student Day pave the way for United Methodist students to pursue higher education. Aspiring nurses, doctors, teachers, counselors, clergy and others receive the support of the Church they love when you give to this special offering.

Doo-Hee Jeong, international studies student at Berkeley University and United Methodist Student Day scholarship recipient, [at right, above] is grateful for the support he receives through the offering.

"I want to give back to the Church through my education," Jeong said. "Whether I go into ministry or not, the Church should be a huge part of my life. International relationships are my purpose. I want to show people all over the world what being a Christian is about."

Jeong is grateful for the scholarship and lifetime of support he has received from The United Methodist Church. "Scholarships have been instrumental to allowing me to go to a school like Berkeley," he noted. "They encourage ongoing involvement with The United Methodist Church."

Your United Methodist Student Day gifts help students such as Jeong continue their education and faith journey, as they strive to make a difference in the world and discern what God has planned for them.
