Society of St. Andrew Advent Programs
September 29, 2011
The Society of St. Andrew (SoSA), the national gleaning ministry, has two Advent programs for you and your church.
First, the free Advent devotional booklet, "Passing the Peace," will guide you toward Christmas with daily readings to aid in preparation for Christmas Eve.
During the season of Advent, the Society of St. Andrew devotional booklet asks participants to prayerfully reflect on the Scriptures and devotions, and also to join in the ministry of feeding America's hungry by making a financial donation. Last year, donations made through SoSA's Advent devotional program provided more than 1.2 million servings of food to the hungry.

Second, the Alternative Gift Christmas Card program is a way to send Christmas greetings to friends and family, to let them know that you have fed hungry Americans in their name, and to share God's love in a real way with strangers in need.
This Christmas, you can give hope to millions by the simple act of honoring your loved ones with a gift donation to feed the hungry. Each $12 donation to the Society of St. Andrew provides about 600 servings of fresh, nutritious food to America's hungry families. And when you do, each person you so honor will receive our exclusive Christmas Gift Donation Card announcing your generous gift in their name.
