Wesley UMC, Palo Alto Hosts Sept. 10 Portrayal of Environmentalist John Muir

September 01, 2011

Make plans to see environmentalist John Muir – almost in person! – at Wesley United Methodist Church in Palo Alto on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Muir, portrayed by the Rev. Don Baldwin, former Resident Minister in Yosemite National Park, will give an inspirational 18-minute show bringing beautiful Yosemite to life. He will incorporate narrative and music with breathtaking images projected on a 24-ft wide screen.
The production is a great event for youth as well as adults – especially those interested in environmental issues. It is open to the public.
Wesley UMC is located at 470 Cambridge Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94306.
The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary, located a half-block from El Camino and one block north of California Ave. (a hotspot for restaurants).
A free-will offering will be taken.
For more information, contact the church at 650.327.2092.
