Register Now for the 2011 Church and Clergy Transitional Workshop on Aug. 27

Annual Conference Session is ended. Clergy and their families have moved into their new residences. And churches are sharing information about their community and expressing their hopes for the coming years.
The 2011 Church and Clergy Transition Workshop, sponsored by the California-Nevada Annual Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and the Conference Council on Clergy Development, is designed to assist clergy and congregational leaders (especially Staff-Parish Relations Committees, Worship Committees, and Council Leaders) as they engage in this uniquely United Methodist dance of transition. 
This year's workshop will be offered on Saturday, August 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Sacramento, California.
Event coordinator/presenter will be the Rev. Brandon Austin, pastor of St. Paul's UMC in Manteca.
The workshop is highly recommended for clergy and churches that made a transition within the last 1-2 years, in addition to those transitioning this season. 
To sign up a team or individual, complete online registration (click here or go to, print form, and mail to: Transition Workshop, 910 E. North Street, Manteca, CA 95337 by August 22. After August 22, take registration form with you to the workshop.
(A $50 donation is requested of each participating church, to help cover the cost of workshop materials up to five booklets). Lunch will be available at a per-person cost of approximately $10. Pay at the workshop or mail with your registration form. Childcare will not be offered.)
