The numbers are in and momentum continues to build throughout the California-Nevada Annual Conference as United Methodists "Catch Fire" by participating in the Bible study, "Catch Fire in 50 Days – Joining the Movement of God's Mission in the World."
Written by members of the Conference's Committee on Congregational Vitality to prepare for the work to be done at Annual Conference Session in June, the "Catch Fire" Bible study is on fire with topics ranging from "Boldness" to "Recognizing Jesus."
To date, 1,273 copies of the published version of the study have been purchased – with new orders coming in daily. (You still may order books, at cnumc.org/catchfire.)
The blog site, http://CatchFirein50Days.net, which features daily posts which relate to the study material, is heating up – with more than 2415 views (up from 1919 last week).
More than 177 people (up an amazing 160 since last week) have subscribed to E-Fire, to receive the study material as a daily email.
This week the Rev. Ted Virts shared in a tweet, "Sometimes in our striving to do, build and make, we become too busy to receive what God would give."
Don't be too busy! Join the movement and get connected!
The study is also available to download.
