National Ecumenical Forum for Filipino Concerns (NEFFCON)-Northern California

December 05, 2013

Typhoon Haiyan that hit the Philippines just a few weeks ago has brought about conversations that go beyond providing disaster relief. There are calls for long-term relief to go hand in hand with short-term relief. Many are not sure how to get started - this event is an opportunity to start building those connections.
The NEFFCON Assembly hopes to bring people together in the spirit of being an organized faith voice for advocacy and change in the Philippines and the world. NEFFCON works with the California-Nevada Annual Conference's Philippine Solidarity Task Force on campaigns and other advocacy work.
This is an ecumenical event, organized by members of the UCC, UMC, Episcopal Church, and Catholic Church, among others.
NEFFCON - North California Chapter invites persons to a gathering for those who share concerns for the Philippines and for Filipinos everywhere.
