'Mission Possible' Fundraiser at Wesley UMC, San Jose to Benefit VIM Teams

March 22, 2011

You are invited to attend the "Mission Possible" Concert and Silent Auction on Saturday, March 26, 6-8:30 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in San Jose.

The gala evening, taking place in the church's Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary, is a fundraiser to support all mission work trips.

At 6 p.m. bidding will open on 200 silent auction items. Musical entertainment will be provided by a trio consisting of Ted Hasegawa, Darryl Noda, and Wesley UMC pastor, the Rev. Keith Inouye. They will perform two sets, with an intermission that's long enough to allow bidders time to check on the status of their desired items before the silent auction ends, and if necessary enter new bids.

Admission is $10 per person, with ages 12 and under admitted free. All proceeds will go to the church's Volunteers in Mission (VIM) work, with a new emphasis on funding teams for Japan as soon as the situation allows mission teams to travel there.

Wesley UMC is located at 566 N. Fifth Street, San Jose, CA 95112. To plan your route, visit the church's webpage and use the handy Google Maps feature.
