Three New Immigration Training Event Videos Uploaded

Three new videos from the Jan. 21 Western Jurisdiction Immigration Training Event in San Francisco – including the keynote speech by Bishop Minerva Carcaño of the Desert Southwest Annual Conference – are available to watch on REEL Witness, the video library on the California-Nevada Annual Conference website.

The training event, "A Call to Radical Hospitality," also featured (among others) Bishops Warner H. Brown, Jr. of Cal-Nevada and Grant Hagiya of Pacific Northwest; UMCOR's Director of Immigration and Refugee Ministries, Panravee Vongjaroenrat; the Rev. Phil Lawson, co-founder of Black Alliance for Just Immigration and co-founder/co-chair of the California Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Rights; and the Rev. Youngsook Charlene Kang, a District Superintendent in the Rocky Mountain Annual Conference.
Worship was led by the Rev. Schuyler Rhodes, pastor of Temple United Methodist Church in San Francisco.
An 11-min. highlights video was uploaded to REEL Witness last week.
