Cal-Nev Clergy and Laity: Attend 'A Call to Radical Hospitality' in January

All clergy and laity committed to creating safe places for our immigrant brothers and sisters are encouraged to register to attend "A Call to Radical Hospitality," a Western Jurisdiction immigration training event, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the San Francisco Airport Hyatt Hotel.

The event, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., is designed to equip, inspire, and mobilize leaders for just and compassionate immigration reform. Be prepared to increase your knowledge, awareness, commitment, and understanding of the current issues facing the immigrant community by participating in a variety of workshops and plenary sessions, and interacting with key resource people in the UMC.
Workshop topics include Race and Immigration, Immigration and Economics, Immigration Reform, Justice for Our Neighbors, Church-based Organizing, and the History of Migration.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the San Francisco Airport Hyatt Hotel at a greatly reduced rate. If you wish to travel on Friday and stay overnight at the hotel you may take advantage of this option and book your room during registration.
