Janet Lahr Lewis will present an update on the situation in Israel and Palestine at the UM Center in West Sacramento, on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Lahr Lewis is a missionary serving in Palestine through the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, and a liaison for Volunteer in Mission teams visiting the Holy Land.
Having worked in Palestine and Israel for many years, focusing on advocacy and activism, she will address important aspects of the situation – backed by her firsthand experience of what life is like under difficult circumstances.
Lahr Lewis will speak at the United Methodist Center, 1276 Halyard Drive, West Sacramento, CA 95691 on Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Lunch will be provided, noon to 1 p.m., for a $10/person charge.
