Register now for a Side-By-Side Ministries workshop, "Where the Church Meets the Street: Companioning Our Homeless Neighbors," October 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at First United Methodist Church of Sacramento. The Rev. Linda Kelly-Baker, founder of Side-By-Side, a listening ministry with the homeless, will guide attendees in exploring their natural sense of compassion and concern, and help them learn to appropriately support and respond to homeless and mentally ill individuals.
Clergy, volunteers, and all people of faith are encouraged to attend.
Suggested donation $15.
