Sponsored by the South Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church, the Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kentucky Conferences, and the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas, the Small Church Leadership Institute will provide the opportunity to hear from pastors who have led their small attendance congregations to the next level of health, vitality, and mission.
Topics will include: Strengthening Worship in the Small Attendance Church; Preaching in the Small Church: Lectionary or Non-Lectionary?; Strengthening the Celebration of the Sacraments; The Gifts that Small Membership Churches Bring to Worship; and Designing Worship to Match our Congregational Identity.
The week also will include testimonies from pastors who have led their small-attendance congregations to the next level of health, vitality, and mission. Continuing Education CEUs are available.
Register now! Program fee is $299 per person and includes program cost and 12 meals if you register by October 14. After October 15, add $100 per person. However, if four paying laity attend from a church, their pastor's program fee is waived.
Conference staff, Conference chairs of small church commissions, and district superintendents are invited to stay one additional day for a small church summit with Diana Northcutt. The topic is "It's a New Day in the Small Church – Looking at Critical Issues Facing the Small Membership Church." Program fee for the additional day is $99.
