Registration Opens for October 'Vital Congregations' Seminars with Doug Anderson

September 16, 2010

Registration is now open for the October "Vital Congregations, Step-by-Step" Seminars with Doug Anderson, taking place at several locations within the California-Nevada Annual Conference.

Conference leaders and the Council on Congregational Development encourage everyone serving under appointment (Elders, Deacons, TBAs, Provisioners, Local Pastors, etc.) to attend – along with church staff, youth leaders, SPRC members, Sunday School teachers, and others in a position of leadership in a church or appointment setting.

Anderson is an excellent teacher of the simple and effective components which add vitality and direction to a church's ministry and outreach, with emphasis on:
  • Purpose-centered vs. preference-driven programming
  • Growing spiritual leaders who guide mission-centered congregations
  • Evangelism contained in service, sharing stories, and extending invitation
  • Benefits of, and the Wesleyan model for, small groups
The seminars will provide practical tools for aligning ministry with mission. Anderson will teach a simple, one-step-at-a-time process for developing a congregation to fulfill the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

The three seminars, "Leaders for the Mission," "Developing Evangelism," and "Small Groups for Discipling," will be conducted live in three locations, with live streaming to three satellite locations on October 30. Register now to attend one of the following:
