Transformational leadership is the art of developing teams of leaders who are fully alive in God. Would you like that to describe your leadership style?
Sign up for a two-weekend course in Transformational Leadership for Clergy and Laity, to be taught in October by Anne Dilenschneider, D.Min., at Fortuna United Methodist Church in beautiful Humboldt County, California (within the Great Northern District). Sessions will be Friday-Saturday, October 15-16 and 29-30. (Friday times are 7-10 p.m. and Saturday times are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.)
The first weekend will cover the fundamentals of transformational leadership and developing a team of leaders and reframing ministry. The second weekend will cover identifying spiritual and leadership styles and applying leadership strategies in context.
The Rev. Dr. Dilenschneider has been a United Methodist pastor since 1987, a spiritual director since 1988, and a national spirituality and leadership consultant since 1999.
"The simple processes participants will learn and practice in this training have been used to re-vitalize churches and non-profit organizations," Dilenschneider says. "They truly work because they allow God to lead the way."
Homework assignments will include exercises in the core spiritual disciplines and linking leadership with the Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations.
Advance registration cost is $100 per person ($125 at the door), which covers both weekends.
CEU credit is available for clergy and Lay Speaking Ministries credit and certification is available for laity.
Five partial scholarships are available for laity.
Note: Course will be cancelled if course minimum of 15 participants has not been met by October 7 – so sign up today!
