The Conference Lay Ministry training program was established to prepare lay people to serve as lay pastors of small churches. Since 1990 it has been a residential program, offered as two sequential courses, usually in November and January.
While that version of training – to be known now as "CLayM Away," will continue to be offered, now there's a new way to take the training – "CLayM@Home"!
This year at Annual Conference Session you'll get a promotional DVD that will explain this innovative opportunity to receive lay minister training without the necessity of spending two weeks away from home. Whether you're sure you're being called to lay ministry or are in a process of discernment, CLayM training is a great opportunity to receive training tools that will be invaluable to you in your future ministry – whatever that turns out to be.
