Register NOW for Clergy Transition Workshop This Week!
May 17, 2010
This Wednesday through Saturday (May 19-22), join your colleagues and gifted presenters in the quiet San Ramon Valley, at the San Damiano Retreat Center in Danville, California for a few days of retreat, reflection, and preparation as you anticipate another appointment or as you consider prior months of a mid-year appointment.
Transitioning from one congregation or pastoral appointment to the next is the signature of United Methodist pastors, like few others. Learning to navigate the straits and to enjoy the flow of intertwining roles and relationships across the years becomes an art form – and, as with art, there's no substitute for knowing the tools and techniques that optimize passion-filled pastoral work in the service of Christ.
Even if you are not transitioning this year, you'll find the experience and information at this retreat to be useful.
The retreat (lodging, food, materials, and presenters) is FREE to all transitioning clergy, and thanks to Ministerial Education Fund grants (our apportionment investments at work!) it is practically free for everyone else who attends.
But time is short! So download and read through the material here, fill out the registration form, and make plans to attend. You'll be blessed!
