Centennial Celebrates Asian American, Pacific Islander Month With Polynesian Festival, May 22

May 13, 2010

Centennial United Methodist Church is celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with its fourth annual Polynesian Festival, Saturday, May 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will be filled with Polynesian flavor – through entertainment, music, games, and traditional Polynesian crafts with a modern twist! The Tongan United Methodist Fellowship of Sacramento Youth Brass Band will perform.
The United Methodist Church is such a diverse body! The festival is a celebration of our diversity and an opportunity to share our uniqueness with the community around us. It's also a true testament to what the body of Christ looks like – that all parts of the body are needed to worship God (coming, as it does, as the result of a lot of teamwork!).
And it's going to be fun! You'll want to be there from beginning to end. (Food will be served at 11:30 a.m., and you definitely won't want to miss that!)
There is no charge to attend.
