Is Your Church Practicing the 'Five Practices'? Apply to Join Workshop Panel at ACS!

May 06, 2010

If your church has been intentionally integrating some or all of Bishop Robert Schnase's "Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations" (from his book of the same name), you're invited to apply to join the bishop on a workshop panel at this year's California-Nevada Annual Conference Session.

During the two workshops with Bishop Schnase at 9:45 and 10:45 on Thursday morning, June 17, representatives of congregations which have engaged in Radical Hospitality, Passionate Worship, Intentional Faith Development, Risk-taking Mission and Service, and/or Extravagant Generosity will share their best practices as part of a panel discussion. For each workshop, we're looking for two-to-three churches willing to share their experiences with the Five Practices (a total of four-to-six churches).

To apply, click here and complete online application by May 19. Director of Connectional Ministries Linda Wiberg will notify churches regarding their participation after May 21.

For more information download workshop brochure here.

(If you are not required to be in Sections you may register on line to attend one of the Thursday morning workshops. Just click on the "Registrations" tab on the Home Page of the Conference website at cnumc.org.)
