Be a part of the future! Register now for the "Rethink Mission" event in Nashville, Tennessee, October 14-17, 2010.

Hear, reflect, and discuss presentations of scholars, missionaries, and leaders in mission in The United Methodist Church at the Rethink Mission Conference, "Rethink Mission: Reflection and Action," at Scarritt Bennett Center, 1008 19th Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212.
With the theme, From Edinburgh 1910–2010, Mission Engagement Past, Present and Future, the conference is designed to help participants discover anew what mission was, what mission is, and to be engaged in planning what mission can be in the Church. Placed in a working track to maximize intimate reflection and discussion, participants will work to develop action plans to re-engage the UMC in mission.

Professor Dana L. Robert, foremost mission scholar and keynote speaker at the official Edinburgh, Scotland conference, June 3-6, 2010, will present the keynote address.
Discussion will focus on four of the study themes from the Edinburgh Study process: Christian Communities in Contemporary Contexts, Christian Mission Among Other Faiths, Mission Spirituality and Authentic Discipleship, and Forms of Missionary Engagement.
Presenters include: Janet Lahr Lewis, active missionary in Palestine; Dr. Robert Hunt, Professor at Perkins School of Theology, former long-term missionary; Dr. Phil Wingeier Rayo, Professor of Mission at Pfeiffer University, former missionary; and Lois Dauway, Deputy General Secretary of Mission and Evangelism at GBGM.
Cost:  Early registration fees are:
          Plan A: No TV or Internet access (available in library) $265.
                   90 rooms available, reserved on first come, first served basis
          Plan B: Ten rooms reserved (includes TV and Internet access) $315.
          Plan C: Commuter Rate: Registration and meals $150.
After May 31, 2010, late fees do apply. Please add $25 to the prices above. Refunds (minus $20) are allowed until June 30, 2010.
