Spanish Immersion Trip to Guatemala Is Scheduled for July

February 18, 2010

Do you live and serve in a valley town? Or a major California city? Did you know there are more than five million people in California for whom Spanish is their first language? So, the question is – Isn't it time you learned to speak some Spanish?

This summer, the Conference again will offer a Spanish language immersion trip to the Celas Maya Spanish language school in Guatemala. The program involves three weeks of intensive study. Included in the tuition ($165 per week: yes, per week!) are a home stay with a local family, meals for six days each week, one-on-one study with a tutor for four hours per day, plus free coffee and Internet! The three-week course, lodging and meals, as well as round trip air fare, will cost approximately $1100. (You would want to take extra funds for Sunday meals, amenities, side trips, etc., however.)

The group will leave from the San Francisco Bay area on Friday, July 30. Following their three weeks of study and travel, the students will return on Saturday, August 21.
