'Simple Church' Workshop at San Ramon Valley UMC in February

December 03, 2009

Tired of juggling a seemingly never-ending stream of ministry programs? Confused by the challenge of "making disciples" in a 21st century culture? Looking for a better way to do ministry? SIMPLIFY...

San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church announces a February workshop for clergy and laity who are looking for ways to shift their disciple-making focus from "program" to "process."
Eric Geiger, Executive Pastor at Christ Fellowship in Miami and co-author of the book Simple Church, will lead the workshop, sharing what his extensive research has taught him: that vibrant churches are those which have chosen to focus on a simple process for making disciples of Jesus Christ. He will guide participants in practical ways to develop a process that is faithful to that purpose.
Don't miss "SIMPLE CHURCH: The Process of Making Disciples," Thursday, February 4, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Wesley Center at San Ramon Valley UMC.
The workshop is open to both clergy and laity. Clergy Continuing Education Credit of .5 units is available.
Registration is $35/person (includes lunch); $25/person for teams of three or more. Registration deadline is January 15.
Download brochure and registration form (both in PDF format).
