Registration Deadline November 5 for 'Together We Serve' UM / ELCA Service

Churches are reminded of the November 5 deadline to sign up to participate in the "Together We Serve" celebration of the agreement of full communion between The United Methodist Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The special service will take place Sunday, November 15 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Sacramento. Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr., resident bishop of the California-Nevada Annual Conference, will preside and the ELCA's Bishop Mark W. Holmerud will preach.

Congregations are encouraged to attend. UMs may want to carpool with their neighbor Lutherans, as an appropriate beginning to the ecumenical relationship: "Together we serve united by love!"
Clergy are invited to participate in a clergy processional. (Please wear robes and red stoles and arrive by 6:30 pm to assemble.)
