An informal memorial service for retired pastor, the Rev. Lee Williamson, is scheduled for Saturday, September 12 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1183 B Street, Hayward, CA 94541.The Revs. John Chamberlin, Sarah Hubinsky Phelps, Katie Kandarian, and John Wichman will preside.
Honored at Annual Conference Session with the 2009 Talbert Award for Racial Justice, Lee Williamson served the Pleasanton: Lynnewood, Park Presidio, Oakland: Melrose United, Albany, and Hayward Wesley churches before retiring in 2004.
There will be an open mike for those who want to share their stories and memories of Lee.
