Katherine Parker Making Brief Visit This Fall, Available to Speak

August 25, 2009

Katherine Parker, GBGM missionary to Cambodia from the California-Nevada Annual Conference, is returning briefly this fall and will be available to visit churches. The very limited number of Sunday mornings that she will be in the area are all committed - but as of late August, some Saturdays and some Sunday evenings were available for visits to Northern California churches.

The Saturdays are October 3, 17, 24, and 31, and November 7.

The Sunday evenings are October 11 and 18 and November 1 and 8.

Visit scheduling is being coordinated by Howard Parker. If you are interested in arranging a visit by Katherine to your church, contact Howard at howard.parker@gmail.com.

Katherine Parker is a young adult and one of the newest and youngest of the career missionaries sent overseas by the church's General Board of Global Ministries. She has a fresh, engaging perspective on mission and is a voice of the next generation of our country's mission workers.

Katherine is assigned to work with the rural poor in Cambodia in Community Health and Agricultural Development. There are enormous challenges in this developing country - still recovering from the murderous regime of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge - and Katherine can speak to those things.
