Volunteers Head Back to Oroville This Weekend

August 13, 2009

United Methodist Volunteers in Mission from the California-Nevada Annual Conference will return to First United Methodist Church of Oroville (California) on the weekend of August 14 to paint the pastor's home. A previous UMVIM team, in May, installed a completely new roof in the first phase of the project. (Read May 23, 2009 Oroville Mercury-Register story, Volunteers Repair Pastor's House.)

The current team, which will be painting the house, needs more helpers. It also needs an electrician to inspect the wiring, and a volunteer with A/C experience to install a donated central air conditioning unit.

To volunteer, and/or for additional details about this mission, please contact the team's leader, Ron Rowan, right away at 916.761.9115 or ron-rowan@comcast.net.
