Follow African Communicators on Twitter, View Graduation Service LIVE
WhisperLOUD: Amplifying Voices through Digital Technology is underway at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church in Tipp City, Ohio and the offices of United Methodist Communications in Nashville, Tennessee. From July 13 to 31, communicators from six different African countries are being trained through UMCom's Central Conference Communications Initiative (CCCI) and equipped with the portable technology and skills needed to address their communication needs.
And you can participate! Just go to http://twitter.com/umcommunication and click the "follow" button near the upper left of the page. UMCom will post updates, pictures, and links to online videos from WhisperLOUD on Twitter. As students become comfortable with using the technology they're learning, all will use the hashtag #CCCI to help you locate and follow news of the three-week event.
On Wednesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. (PDT), video of the graduation service will be streamed live, and you'll be able to view it through a site which will be posted on Twitter.
Please share this information with friends and colleagues who are interested in communications work that makes a difference in Africa.
The CCCI Team - "Transforming Lives. Transforming Communities." - consists of Director Tafadzwa Mudambanuki, Program Manager Nancy Neelley, and Heather Bennett, Project Coordinator. They thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you online!
