Latest Version of Tillinghast Lectionary Guide Is Available

The Rev. Harold "Bud" Tillinghast of the California-Nevada Annual Conference has, for many years, provided a Lectionary Guide for the Clergy, which also can be useful for laity. The 2008-2009 edition of the guide is now available on line, from the website of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts.

The guide contains a one-sentence summary of each of the Lectionary Readings for the year. Its brevity makes it especially useful for getting an overview for all the readings for a season.

 

Tillinghast, who sometimes refers to himself as a "minister on permanent study leave," is currently in England and last week attended the annual Wesley Lecture at Lincoln College, where John Wesley was a Fellow. He will be writing about it and plans to send his reflections to friends in Cal-Nevada.
