Pursue Brain Fitness With Three Seminars in Santa Rosa in June

May 20, 2009

We work out our bodies (or at least, know that we should) - but how much thought do we give to working out our minds?

That should be a primary concern!

According to the Older Adult Ministry Council, contrary to popular belief our brainpower does not automatically diminish with age - and with that myth dispelled, mental acuity and vitality can be viewed as legitimate lifelong pursuits.

That's where Brain Fitness comes in!

Brain Fitness is a series of June seminars being offered by OAMC in Santa Rosa.

On Saturday, June 6 learn about "The positive power of the aging brain" in The Mature Mind, based on the book of the same name by Gene Cohen, MD, PhD.

Brain Power is the focus on June 7 - what your brain is like when it's healthy, what it can do when it's functioning well, and how to keep it that way.

Then on Sunday, June 14 find out about Emotional Intelligence, or EQ - which actually may be more important to your overall life success than IQ!

The June 6 seminar will take place at Stony Point Giffen House, 2150 Giffen Avenue at Stony Point in Santa Rosa; the seminars June 7 and 14 will be in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church, 1551 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, CA 95405.
