A Party for Jane Schlager

May 01, 2009

The Golden Gate District Committee on Superintendency invites you to join in celebrating the ministry of the Rev. Jane E. Schlager, Golden Gate Superintendent, on Saturday, June 6, 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Temple United Methodist Church in San Francisco.

The afternoon will honor Schlager's eight years of faithful service on the Cabinet, where her skills, experience, and contributions have helped expand the ministry of the Golden Gate District. There will be a retrospective of major happenings during her tenure, a video of photos from district churches, music, refreshments, and more.

Schlager has been appointed to the Almaden Hills United Methodist Church in San Jose, California, effective July 1, 2009.

Earlier in the day, Temple will host an orientation to Annual Conference Session in June, to review major resolutions and 32 constitutional amendments that will be considered at that time. The orientation will be from 10 a.m. to noon - and while it is intended for clergy and lay members to ACS, particularly first-timers, anyone may attend. The orientation will be followed by lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend one or both of the events. However, if you are planning to attend either or both events, please RSVP to Bruce Pettit in the Golden Gate District Office at 415.504.7200.

Temple UMC is located at 65 Beverly Street, San Francisco, CA, 94132.
