UMVIM Team Reports on Mission to India, at Davis UMC in April

March 26, 2009

A United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) team, made up of 13 "enthusiastic volunteers," is eager to talk about its two-week trip ministering in the slums and villages of India (December 2008-January 2009).

The team, led by Mary Philip and Jim Cramer of Davis United Methodist Church, makes the first such report at its sponsoring church on Saturday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m., during an Indian Dinner Fundraiser to which all are welcome.

The team will share its experiences through a slide show and personal accounts, in hopes of generating funds for projects serving impoverished and oppressed populations in Jamkhed and Mumbai. Contributions will be gratefully accepted from those able to make them, but are not compulsory.

Suggested donation: $25/person, $40/couple, $50/family.

Contact Davis UMC at 530.756.2170 or if you plan to attend.

Please get your tickets by April 19 so that organizers have an accurate headcount for planning purposes.
