WCC Stewards Program and Ecumenical Leadership Training Seminar 2009

February 05, 2009

The World Council of Churches is looking for several young adults (18-30) from all over the world to participate as stewards for the next Central Committee of the WCC, and in ecumenical leadership trainings to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, August 19-September 4, 2009.

Some 150 church representatives, advisors, and observers will gather at the next meeting of the Central Committee, which provides many opportunities for "on the job" ecumenical formation for young adults. In addition, the leadership training seminars equip young people with skills and resources to continue their work on issues important to the churches at the regional and local levels.

The Rev. Motoe Yamada, Associate Pastor of Education and Nurture at Wesley United Methodist Church in San Jose, California, says the Stewards Program changed her life! You may contact her to learn more, at 408-295-0367, Ext. 14, or via email at motoe@wesleysj.net.

Applications are due March 31, 2009.
