Still Time to Apply for Academy for Spiritual Formation's February Start

Applications are still being accepted for the two-year Academy for Spiritual Formation® which begins February 16-21, 2009 at the Mercy Center in Burlingame, California (near San Francisco airport). Scholarship assistance is also available, but hurry! Funds are limited. 


This two-year journey into the heart, mind, soul, and will of Christ has been offered to clergy and lay participants since 1983. It is one of the most highly regarded programs of its kind, providing a balanced approach to spiritual formation with worship, lectures, silence, covenant groups, and spiritual disciplines. Participants gather eight times - five days every calendar quarter – for a total of 40 days in retreat. Racial-ethnic participants are encouraged to apply.   


Faculty for this Academy (#29) includes Loyd Allen, Elizabeth Canham, Jane Vennard, David Horowitz, Marcia McFee, Juan Bek, Bruce Rigdon, Jim Neafsey, Joann Heinritz, Roberta Bondi, Amy Oden, Le Xuan Hy, Bishop Hee-soo Jung, Luther Smith, Kathryn Damiano, and Jim Lawson. The leadership team which guides the experience consists of Suzanne Seaton, Ginger Howl, Bob Mitchell, Jan Sechrist, and Jim Seaton.
